Thank you for taking the time to comment.

I've considered reading Adam Smith's book a number of times, but I simply do not have the time to do so. At 1,000 pages and with a writing style not appealing to contemporary readers, I think it best to leave that assignment to those who are pursuing a post-graduate degree in Economics. While I took both Microeconomics and Macroeconomics in college, I did not major in business or economics. I do favor Hayek and von Mises. I wouldn't call myself completely ignorant of economic issues and I am by no means opposed to capitalism. However, I do not care for ignorant people who reduce complex issues to talking points. After reading several of Mr. Liu's essays, I made a judgment call that he was far more knowledgeable on the subject than I could ever be, so I posted his thoughts on Mr. Smith. If you think that Mr. Liu is incorrect in his analysis, then please supply a resource that counters his assessment.

If you would like to make some suggestions of resources for ordinary folks to go to educate themselves more on the theories that Smith espouses, that would be wonderful!

Maybe you should read The Wealth of Nations. Then you could form your own opinion.

Very interesting read. I'm sure few, if any, Limbaugh followers have ever bothered to try to do any analysis of what he spews out. Go to the source? You must be kidding!
